Green policy and sustainability are long-established cornerstones of The Duke of Devonshire’s estates and other businesses. The installation of electric charge points in the car parks of The Devonshire Arms at Beeley and The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley has taken this environmental commitment a step further.
Two chargers are already in place at Pilsley’s inn, with two further chargers to be available for vehicles at Beeley by the end of June. The chargers will be available for both residential and non-residential customers and will soon be available at other properties in the group, which has already been recognised for its Green Tourism.
The Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants Group won a Gold Award for Green Tourism in 2015, demonstrating its commitment to environmental good practise. The Group includes The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa and The Devonshire Fell, both located in the Yorkshire Dales.
Both inns are ideally placed for visitors to Chatsworth’s magnificent house and garden, and visitors showing a valid Chatsworth admission ticket on the same day, will receive 10% off their food bill (Offer on slevyweb is any day of the week, valid until the end of November 2017)
Both inns share the Duke’s passion for quality food, local provenance and both are highly regard by locals and visitors alike for their delicious dining choices, with estate-farmed and local artisan-made produce features regularly on both dining menus. In support of community spirit, locals are even encouraged to barter fresh produce in season, in exchange for a pint or two at the bar.
Accommodation at both inns is individually-designed, contemporary-country in style, with sumptuous, more traditional four-poster bedrooms at Pilsley, offering guests a personalised stay which is high quality, yet informal and relaxed. B&B rates start at £104 per room.
