On Friday 6th March, a brand-new Smokehouse, Colliery Smokehouse, will open its doors on Colliery Lane, Linton, Swadlincote and for owners Pete Robinson and Zoe Potts, it represents far more than just a new restaurant.

After seven months of building, refining and carefully shaping every detail, their vision is finally ready to be shared. Inspired by traditional American smokehouse cooking and elevated with a distinctive English twist, the new venue promises slow-smoked flavour, bold dishes and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

From the exterior design to the finishing touches inside, nothing has been overlooked. Every element has been thoughtfully considered to create a space that feels inviting, characterful and proudly independent.

In the kitchen, Executive Chef Jack Bull leads a dedicated and talented team who have worked tirelessly to perfect the menu and deliver food that reflects the passion behind the project. Just as much care has gone into building the wider team - a group chosen not just for skill, but for their shared belief in what Colliery Smokehouse is all about.

For Pete and Zoe, this opening marks the beginning of something they hope the local community will truly embrace and enjoy.

Doors open Friday 6th March, 6pm. Linton, it’s time to fire up the smokers.
