Local MP Pauline Latham is set to re-open the Queen’s Head, Ockbrook at 5.00pm on Friday 4th November, following a £500k investment by owners Stonegate Pub Company who took over the management of the pub earlier this month.

With the idyllic charm of a village pub the Queen’s Head is the perfect setting for relaxing, informal dining, gathering with friends and celebrating occasions, offering an expansive food menu alongside an extensive range of cask ales; craft beers; premium spirits and wines.

Beckoning lovers of fresh food, a selection of starters and sharers such as melted French Camembert; gourmet grills, British steaks matured for 35 days; burritos; pastas, salads and risottos; a tantalising selection of open and slow cooked pies; and home comforts from Duck Confit with an orange & Grand Marnier sauce to Cumberland Sausages & Mash with red wine gravy.

Sunday roasts are destined to become a signature dish with eight cuts of meat from roast lamb shank to beef long-bone rib and free tops ups on gravy, Yorkshire puds and roasties.

There’s a wide selection of dishes at 2 for £11.49 all day Monday – Friday and great offers including 25% off on Tuesdays for over 65’s; Spice Night Wednesdays; Sizzling Steak Thursdays; Fizz Friday and more. Children are in for a treat too with the new healthy kids menu, guaranteed to get children happily tucking into their five-a-day fruit and veg.

New to the premium drinks range, craft beers Brewdog IPA, Brooklyn Lager and a rotation of local beers take to the bar along with premium lagers Peroni and Estrella. Gin lovers are spoilt for choice with favourite botanics enhanced with carefully paired garnishes whilst a tantalising range of wines, enough for any modern day pub offer.

“The pub is a gem with enormous potential,” said manager David Pike. There is no denying that it needed a significant investment to maximise that potential though and it’s fantastic that Stonegate stepped forward to do just that. It enables us now to focus on providing our new customers with quality,  value, and choice.”
