Langosteria's elegant contemporary cuisine, combined with its renowned hospitality, has arrived in London, creating a new culinary destination in the heart of the capital.

Since 1 July, the celebrated Italian restaurant brand has welcomed guests to its first London location at Whitehall Place within The OWO, Winston Churchill's historic Old War Office.

The opening marks another significant milestone for the Buonocore Hospitality Group. Following successful locations in Milan, Paris, Paraggi, Porto Cervo and St. Moritz, the London restaurant represents the brand's continued international expansion and strengthens its presence across Europe's leading cities.

"It's incredibly exciting to see that the Langosteria journey, which began nearly twenty years ago, is finally taking us to the United Kingdom," said Enrico Buonocore, CEO and Founder of Buonocore Hospitality Group.

"Opening a restaurant in this city has always been one of my biggest dreams. I am happy and proud to be making them come true with my team, bringing the Langosteria experience to the heart of London."

Designed by Italian designer Carlo Samarati, who also created Langosteria's original restaurants in Milan and Paraggi, the London venue combines Italian design with the historic character of The OWO to create an elegant and welcoming setting.

Guests enter through a bar featuring an impressive travertine and Canaletto walnut counter beneath a striking concentric-patterned ceiling. Beyond, the Main Dining Room offers both intimate alcoves filled with natural light and central tables overlooking the restaurant's wine cellars.

The Historical Room preserves many original features from the Old War Office, including stone fireplaces and ornate stucco ceilings, complemented by hand-painted and embroidered silk wall panels inspired by Langosteria's distinctive style. A discreet Private Dining Room sits beyond the famous Messenger Wall, once used to transmit confidential communications across the British Empire.

Italian craftsmanship features throughout the restaurant, from travertine and Verde Alpi marble to bespoke Murano glass lighting by Venini and custom-made furniture created exclusively for Langosteria.

The menu combines the restaurant's signature seafood dishes with new creations developed for London, including Catalan-style and steamed seafood, grilled and oven-baked specialities, raw seafood selections and handmade pasta. Highlights include the King Crab Special Edition 2007, created in honour of the original Via Savona restaurant, the Brittany Lobster "Spicy Blue", and a range of vegetable dishes including marinated beetroot salad with walnuts and pecorino, crispy potatoes cooked to order and roasted endives with champagne vinaigrette.

Langosteria London is led by Head of Operations Michele Biassoni alongside Alessio Moretti, Sebastiano Vanni and Giorgio Cristiani. Desserts are overseen by Corporate Pastry Chef Daniele Bonzi, while the wine programme is curated by Corporate Wine Manager Valentina Bertini.

The restaurant officially soft-opened on 1 July 2026 and is currently welcoming guests for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday.
