Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Peak District, The New Inns Restaurant, Bar and Hotel is now open, welcoming guests to experience a unique blend of heritage, comfort, and warm hospitality.

Following an extensive restoration, The New Inns has been lovingly brought back to life with a clear vision: preserving the building's historic character while creating a fresh, modern destination. Great care has been taken to restore original features, from historic floorboards and traditional tiling to the authentic layout of the building. Every detail reflects our commitment to celebrating the property's rich history while providing the comfort and quality expected by today's guests.

Dating back to the 18th century, The New Inns originally served as a traditional roadside inn on the busy route between Ashbourne and Buxton, welcoming travellers, traders, and the local farming community. Today, that same spirit of hospitality continues as we welcome visitors from near and far.

Perfectly situated on the renowned Tissington Trail, one of the Peak District's most popular walking and cycling routes, The New Inns is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Guests are just moments away from iconic attractions including the Dovedale Stepping Stones, Tissington Village, and many of the Peak District's most scenic walks and cycling routes.

Our hotel offers 30 beautifully appointed bedrooms, including self-catering apartments for extended stays, alongside comfortable single, double, twin, and king en-suite rooms. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with comfort, style, and practicality in mind.

Our restaurant and bar are open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus showcase freshly prepared dishes using quality ingredients, complemented by a fully licensed bar offering local ales, premium lagers, carefully selected wines, spirits, and a range of non-alcoholic beverages.

The New Inns is proudly owned and operated by the same family behind The Okeover Arms, bringing years of hospitality experience and a genuine passion for creating welcoming, community-focused venues. Our aim is simple: to provide exceptional food, comfortable accommodation, and friendly service that keeps guests returning time and time again.

Whether you're visiting for a meal, a weekend break, a family celebration, or simply stopping by after exploring the Peak District, you'll always receive a warm welcome at The New Inns.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
