Cavendish Hotel Hosts Exclusive "Meet the Grower" Dining Event with Ambriel English Sparkling Wines

The Cavendish Hotel is delighted to invite you along to ‘Meet the Grower’, the first in a season of exclusive, hosted dining events. On Thursday, 9th April, this spring event offers guests the rare opportunity to meet the grower behind one of England’s most celebrated sparkling wine producers, Ambriel English Sparkling Wines, gaining insight into the passion, provenance and meticulous winemaking that define every bottle.



The evening begins with drinks and canapés upon arrival, setting the tone for a relaxed and refined experience. Guests will then enjoy a specially curated three course spring menu, crafted by Head Chef Adam Harper, with each course thoughtfully pairing Estate produce of the season, with a complementary Ambriel wine. 

To start, choose from a Smoked Chatsworth Estate Venison Tartare or Cured and Charred Ladybower Trout, with beautifully balanced accompaniments – Main dishes are a choice of Roasted Chatsworth Lamb Loin, with spring pea and mint puree, confit shoulder croquet, glazed baby carrots and lamb and red wine jus, or Turbot on the Bone, braised leek heart, langoustine, new season asparagus,  saffron velouté. 

Chocolate lovers will adore the concoction of Valrhona chocolate and hazelnut for dessert or choose a mouth-watering parfait featuring seasonal Yorkshire forced rhubarb, with vanilla. Throughout the dinner, the Ambriel guest speaker will guide you through each pairing, sharing stories from the vineyard, tasting notes, and the journey from grape to glass.

Whether you're a devoted wine enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable night of exceptional food and drink, this intimate event promises a warm welcome, exceptional flavours and an engaging exploration of English sparkling wine. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to purchase any of the wines tasted on the night, making it the perfect occasion to discover new favourites.

The price of the event is £89 per person, which includes: 

-    Sparkling Wine and canapés welcome reception 
-    Three-course menu with complementary wines, introduced by our Ambriel host 
-    The opportunity to purchase Ambriel wines on the evening
