TV personality and entrepreneur Maria Fowler will join some of Derbyshire’s most influential businesswomen at a special International Women’s Day event in Derby this March, celebrating female leadership, entrepreneurship and success across the county.

The event, hosted at Nicco Restaurant & Bar at Pride Park, will bring together established and emerging female-led businesses from Derby and the wider East Midlands for the Give to Gain – International Women’s Day Champagne Lunch.

Maria Fowler is an entrepreneur, empowerment blogger, and founder of Bloom Reformer Studios. She will headline the event, sharing her journey of building a successful business and redefining her path as a modern female business owner.

Taking place on Friday 6 March from 1pm to 4pm, the ticketed event will feature a champagne lunch, live entertainment and a series of short talks celebrating the achievements of women who are driving business growth and innovation across Derbyshire.

The speaker line-up includes Tina Clough, founder of Poppy PR, Derby-based author Emma Prosser, Gillian Sewell CEO of YMCA Derbyshire, Natalie Fletcher at Naturally Flawless Aesthetics, and Tilly Dowler, founder of preloved clothing retailer Wanted Wardrobe. Dowler was recently recognised by The King at a Buckingham Palace garden party for her work as The Blind Stylist and her advocacy for inclusivity.

Further speakers from across Derbyshire’s business community will be announced in the coming weeks, with the event designed to showcase the county’s most inspiring women while encouraging open discussion around entrepreneurship, resilience, and growth.

Co-owner Bhav Kumar, said the event was created to recognise and celebrate the strength of women-led businesses across Derbyshire.

She said: “This is a celebration of the incredible businesswomen we have here in Derby and across the county. International Women’s Day gives us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on their achievements and bring together both well-known figures and local entrepreneurs who are making a real impact. Having Maria Fowler headline the event alongside inspiring Derbyshire business owners makes it a powerful and uplifting way to mark the day.”

Guests attending the Give to Gain Champagne Lunch can expect a curated dining experience, live entertainment and gift bags featuring contributions from local female-led businesses, supporting and promoting the region’s women-owned economy.

Tickets are available via www.niccorestaurant.com, with limited availability.
