The Red Lion Inn
Birchover, Derbyshire
The Red Lion is a traditional Peak District pub offering good quality food, real ale and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With a wood burning stove in each room, oak beams and local gritstone walls, we encourage our guests to settle in and relax with a good drink and a plate of satisfying, home-cooked food.
Matteo has spent a lot of time perfecting our menu, trying to infuse the fresh locally sourced ingredients from our beautiful Peak District, with the influences and recipes from his Sardinian homeland. Why buy ingredients from all over the world when we are lucky enough to have some of the best suppliers on our doorstep? We regularly organise Sardinian Nights, a chance to sample authentic Sardinian cuisine and learn more about their culture and traditions.
