The Gallery Restaurant at The Cavendish Hotel has been listed in the Tatler Restaurant Guide for 2018. Just 30 restaurants are listed in the Best of Britain section of Tatler's Restaurant Guide in which The Gallery Restaurant is a new entry and the only representative for Derbyshire.
The much revered guide is edited by Jeremy Wayne who says: "We went the length and breadth of Britain, seeking out the best". This is a guide that aims to ensure quality always wins out over fad and it is partly for this reason that The Gallery Restaurant has come out on top.
A quote from the listing reads: "The Cavendish Hotel, at Chatsworth, is not only a great small hotel, it also has one of the best restaurants in the region, with dishes like Chatsworth Estate lamb and tandoori Derbyshire chicken. Irresistible."
Managing Director Philip Joseph commented: "Everyone is delighted that the hotel and restaurant feature in this prestigious guide and my congratulations go to everyone at the hotel for their hard work and enthusiasm. Top quality ingredients, a superbly talented kitchen team and well established restaurant staff combine with this lovely setting to make it a destination restaurant that's both serious in its offering and totally relaxing in its delivery."
