Ego Open New Mediterranean Restaurant at The Old Ashfield, Sutton-In-Ashfield

Mediterranean restaurant group Ego are opening their latest restaurant at The Old Ashfield, Kirkby Road, Sutton In Ashfield on Monday 31st October 2016.


Formerly known as The Fountain Bridge (and Ashfields prior to that) Ego acquired The Old Ashfield from Star Pubs and Bars in August and have carried out a significant refurbishment program.


There is a new bar area, 140 seats in the restaurant area and an open kitchen so the chefs can be seen at work. Ego now has 13 restaurants in the north and midlands.



Ego takes its culinary influences from around the Mediterranean featuring dishes such as Moroccan Lamb Tajine, Calamari Fritti, Iberian Belly Pork, Steak Frites, Kebabs, Pizza, Pasta, Greek Salad and Gambas al Pil Pil.

The lunch menu includes more traditional favourites such as Fish & Chips, Steak & Ale Pie and Salmon Fishcakes and on Sunday a traditional Sunday Roast for £9.95.

Ego also have an email club where great offers are available to club members, currently the offer is 25% off the A-la carte menu every day except Saturdays and special days (Valentines etc) as well as a free three course meal for members on their birthday. You can sign up for the email club on their web site.



The A-la carte is available all day every day but in addition they have a range of special offers and promotions, the current range of promotions include;


  • Monday – Any two courses and a bottle of wine EACH - £19.95 per person
  • Tuesday – £10 Steak night from 4pm
  • Wednesday – All Day Tapas – 3 Tapas for £12
  • Thursday - £10 Kebab night from 4pm
  • Early Bird Menu of 2 courses for £12.95 and 3 for £15.95
    Until 7pm Monday to Friday and until 6pm at the weekend
  • Lunch Menu – Main Courses £8.95
    Monday to Saturday 11am until 4pm

Ego have an extensive gluten free menu and two children’s menus, ‘Little Ego’ and ‘Junior Ego’. Sundays will include children’s entertainment in the afternoon by the ‘Party Crew’
 



Food is served from 11am every day and Ego have an ongoing offer of 2 for 1 cocktails, every day until 7pm.
