The Spa at Ye Olde Bell partners with award-winning Provence rosé brand Maison Mirabeau to create an immersive, French-inspired spa escape, complete with SAD prevention and sand under foot

The Spa at Ye Olde Bell near Retford is bringing a taste of the French Riviera to Nottinghamshire this autumn, partnering with award-winning Provence rosé brand Maison Mirabeau to extend that summer feeling, with sunshine, relaxation and a glass of rosé.

The collaboration will see the spa’s immersive Sabbia Med experience take on a distinctly French Riviera feel, transporting guests from Nottinghamshire to the sun-soaked shores of Provence without the need to board a plane.

The Mirabeau Moments Package Includes:

  • 5 Hours of Spa Access – 9:30am–2:30pm

  • 2 Course Lunch

  • 30 minute Sabbia Med™ experience

  • Mirabeau Rose Tasting Flight: 50ml Forever Summer, 50ml Pure Provence & 50ml La Folie

At the heart of the experience is The Spa at Ye Olde Bell’s Sabbia Med room, an immersive sunlight and virtual beach therapy experience designed to recreate the sensation of being on a sun-drenched beach. Guests can relax with warm therapeutic sand beneath their feet, while a carefully controlled light programme recreates a natural sunrise-to-sunset cycle. Low levels of UV are emitted to release Vitamin D, whilst specialised lamps are used to alleviate SAD, ideal as we head into the colder months. The experience combines light, warmth and the sensation of a beach underfoot, to create a soothing escape designed to promote relaxation and wellbeing.

Made in the Côtes de Provence region of France, Maison Mirabeau is renowned for its elegant, pale pink rosé wines, making it the perfect partner for a summer feel spa experience inspired by the French Mediterranean. The collaboration offers guests the chance to embrace the spirit of the French Riviera while staying closer to home, combining the restorative benefits of a spa experience with one of Provence’s most iconic summer traditions.

Lucy Desmond, Head of Marketing at Mirabeau says: “Provence is defined by light, warmth and an unhurried way of living, which is precisely what Sabbia Med recreates. Pairing that with a glass of Mirabeau felt like an obvious match because both are about giving people a genuine moment of escape, wherever they happen to be.”

Bertrand Marti, Brand Development Manager at GFD drinks says: “From the outset, we felt there was a very natural connection between The Spa at Ye Olde Bell and Mirabeau. The spa has created an experience centred around escapism, wellbeing and taking time to slow down, while Mirabeau is deeply rooted in the Provençal lifestyle and that same sense of relaxed enjoyment. Sabbia Med makes the partnership particularly relevant, as it transports guests into a warm, Mediterranean environment without having to leave the UK. Bringing Mirabeau into that experience adds another authentic touch of Provence and helps create a complete moment for the guest, rather than simply being a drinks offering. For us at GHF, the partnership made sense because both brands are focused on creating memorable experiences and encouraging people to enjoy those small moments of pleasure.”

Lizzie Bath, Spa Director at The Spa at Ye Olde Bell says: “Summer is all about escaping, slowing down and enjoying those little moments that make you feel like you’re on holiday. We wanted to create an experience that continues that summer laid back feeling, without guests having to travel overseas. The combination of our immersive Sabbia Med experience and Mirabeau’s Provence rosé is the perfect way to bring a little taste of the French Riviera to Nottinghamshire this winter.”

The Mirabeau Moments Package costs £150pp on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and £160pp on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and is available to book here.
