Last week marks the reopening of our glorious summer terrace, in partnership with Laurent-Perrier and Gusbourne. This much-anticipated occasion reflects the gracious hospitality and sense of occasion for which Fischer’s Baslow Hall is renowned. Escape to Fischer’s for a memorable countryside retreat. Whether it’s a one-night break or a more extended getaway, our Overnight Packages are thoughtfully designed to help you unwind, indulge and explore at your own pace.

We were delighted to welcome guests from near and far, together with valued members of the local community, media representatives, and longstanding trusted suppliers, as we opened our summer terrace for the season.

The months ahead will feature a distinguished programme of events, from our popular Foraging Courses to our unique Meet the Maker, along with cocktail-tasting programmes, delightful garden walks and engaging tours.

We are always so delighted to welcome back familiar faces and new participants to our highly sought-after foraging courses, where our visitors have the opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the local area as they learn the art of foraging for wild, edible plants and mushrooms. This unique event broadens your knowledge and delights your taste buds with delicious, freshly foraged ingredients served during an exquisite lunch after a morning spent in the wild.

Our next Meet the Maker event in June, celebrates English Wine Week, and we are thrilled to collaborate with Gusbourne to bring you an exclusive vintage tasting of the finest carefully selected wines from this award-winning and much-revered English Wine Producer.

The evening will begin with a drinks reception, followed by a four-course menu expertly paired with exceptional wines. Our Head Chef, John Shuttleworth, and his team have worked closely with Gusbourne to create a series of seasonal dishes designed to perfectly complement the Gusbourne collection.

All details about these exclusive events are available on our website

This summer, whether you are visiting us for a relaxed lunch, a special celebration, a glass of Champagne in the sunshine, or to discover nature’s bounty on a foraging walk, Fischer’s Baslow Hall is the place to make your summer unforgettable.  We welcome vintage car clubs from all over the country and proudly host private and unique events and experiences, all tailor-made to meet individual requirements.

Our new Summer Lunch Menu is all about relaxed, flexible dining and priced per item so you can enjoy as much or as little as desired, from a simple plate of olives and artisan bread to a full lunch experience. Whether you simply fancy a light bite, or leisurely à la carte dining, taken either on our

summer terrace or in the restaurant, both of which overlook the captivating gardens and surrounding woodlands, where flora and fauna coexist.

Our award-winning Head Chef, John Shuttleworth, and dedicated Head Gardener, Kim Orwin, work closely together to cultivate an abundance of fresh, vibrant ingredients from the extensive kitchen gardens, which can be seen being hand-picked before every service and evidenced on every exquisite plate, all whilst being enthusiastically supported by our brilliant team here.
Our dishes change regularly to reflect the freshest produce harvested from our abundant gardens and from our trusted local suppliers, making every visit uniquely special.
Indulge in exquisite, handcrafted dishes from Cod Brandade with a velvety Chive Emulsion, to Pork Belly Agnolotti , Smoked Poacher Espuma and Wild Garlic Pesto, and to conclude, a luxurious Pear Tarte Tatin Vanilla Ice Cream and decadent Butterscotch Sauce offering a harmonious balance of seasonal flavours with an elegant finish.

New for summer, we have the greatest pleasure of bringing back to Fischer’s a touch of nostalgia with the recent revival of Café Max, a much-loved relaxed dining concept from years past. The new and exciting menu, thoughtfully created by our talented head chef John Shuttleworth, will be available Monday to Thursday from 6.30pm onwards. We hope that this revived concept, drawn from a longstanding favourite, will provide guests with both enjoyment and a sense of nostalgia.

During the glorious summer months, we have introduced Live Music with talented local musicians performing on selected days throughout the season. It’s the perfect soundtrack to an exquisite lunch, an afternoon drink, or simply a chance to unwind with friends and family. Life at Fischer’s is all about a slow pace, sheer indulgence and relaxation.
