The Parisian Hotel Where Families Can Enjoy Luxury As If They Were At Home

In Paris, certain places are whispered about. The Hôtel de Pourtalès is one of them. Tucked away in the elegant 8th arrondissement, just steps from the shop windows of Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré and the major fashion houses, this discreet establishment cultivates the rare art of intimate luxury.

Behind a perfectly preserved Haussmann-style façade, the establishment does not resemble a traditional hotel. Here, everything evokes the intimacy of a private mansion. Guests step through the door as if entering a private residence, a sophisticated retreat in the heart of the capital.

For this is precisely what makes the Hôtel de Pourtalès unique: offering families the privilege of living in Paris rather than simply staying there.

In the apartments – ranging from one to four bedrooms, with some spanning up to 367 m² – space becomes an absolute luxury. Warm hardwood floors, soaring ceilings, light-filled living rooms, elegant libraries, fully equipped kitchens, and multiple bathrooms create a setting that evokes the most beautiful Parisian apartments. You settle in as if in a family home, with that rare feeling of having finally found your Parisian address.

The many tribes there enjoy a freedom that is virtually impossible to find in the capital: the freedom to spend time together while each retains its own territory.

But the true luxury here lies in what is unseen.

Even before guests arrive, the concierges craft their stay like a bespoke experience. Private transfers, reservations at restaurants suited to both children and the most discerning palates, and shows and cultural experiences selected according to the children’s ages: every detail is planned with the precision of a haute couture house.

Upon arrival, the stage is set.

The little ones discover their apartment as a playground of adventure: teepees set up in the living room, colouring books, games, and carefully selected surprises. The amenities are as practical as they are elegant: a crib, high chair, bottle warmer, bathtub, and changing table are discreetly integrated.

Because here, children aren’t just guests. They’re welcomed as true guests. And the experience doesn’t end with the stay: the space is also perfect for gatherings. Baby showers, birthdays, family celebrations, or small get-togethers with loved ones find a setting here designed for all ages. An ideal place to turn every occasion into a cherished memory.

“ONCE UPON A TIME AT THE HÔTEL DE POURTALÈS…”

In December 2025, a large family arriving on a long-haul flight chose the Hôtel de Pourtalès to spend a few days in the capital. Two brothers, each accompanied by their partner and children, along with their sister, booked three apartments for a ten-day stay.

Very quickly, the hotel became a Parisian family home.

In advance, the team had already orchestrated every detail: private transfers from the airport, restaurants suitable for children aged five and ten, shows, walks, and cultural activities designed for the whole family.

But it was upon their arrival that the magic happened.

In the living rooms, small teepees had been set up as secret hideaways. On the tables, colouring books and games awaited the children, along with gifts inspired by the charm of Parisian arcades: vintage French toys, a card game, and a small vintage car. Fresh fruit juice and cookies completed this joyful scene.

For adults, champagne and chocolates immediately set the tone: that of a stay marked by elegance.

The most spectacular moment took place a few days later, during the New Year’s celebration…

For the occasion, the family gathered in the spectacular Sky Penthouse, perched at the top of the hotel. With its panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris, the apartment became the setting for a dinner prepared by a private chef for fourteen guests.

From the table, the city sparkled as far as the eye could see.

An evening that seemed to stand still – intimate yet grand – perfectly capturing the spirit of the place: the exclusivity of a private mansion, the warmth of a family home.

The next morning, a selection of chocolates crafted by renowned French pastry chefs awaited the guests to celebrate the New Year.

And upon departure, a personalised travel kit had been prepared to accompany their return with the same care as their arrival.

Because at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, family-style luxury isn’t just proclaimed.

It’s lived.

In the space, in the details, in that delightful feeling of having, for a few days, a secret hideaway in Paris – where you return as a family, just like home.
