The Red Arrows are set to make a special appearance over Chatsworth next weekend as the ever-popular Country Fair returns for 2026.

Taking place from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September, the annual event will welcome visitors for three days of Grand Ring action, live cookery demonstrations, countryside pursuits, shopping, and family entertainment.

Among the latest highlights confirmed for the weekend is a Red Arrows flypast on Sunday 6 September. The distinctive Hawk fast-jets are expected to pass over the Chatsworth Estate between 11:30am and 12pm, with the flypast lasting around six minutes, subject to weather and operational conditions.

On the ground, the Grand Ring will host displays by Atkinson Action Horses, JC Balls Diggers, birds of prey, dog agility, classic cars and commercial vehicles, and the Marshkeeper Gundog Display team. There will also be daily skydiving displays by the Royal British Legion Parachute Team. Hot air balloons are also expected to take to the skies, subject to weather conditions.

In the Cookery Theatre, visitors can watch TV chefs James Martin, Nisha Katona and Vito Coppola in action, plus masterclasses by some of the region’s most renowned chefs, including Adam Harper, Executive Chef at Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants, Mark Aisthorpe of The Bulls Head in Holymoorside and Adam Thackeray of The Prince of Wales, Baslow. The chefs will showcase dishes created using locally sourced, seasonal produce from the Chatsworth Estate, alongside the very best ingredients from across Derbyshire and the Peak District.

Visitors can also discover local food and drink in the Fine Food Village, browse more than 250 stalls from independent businesses and regional makers, and try countryside activities including fishing, archery and clay shooting.

The final countdown follows the recent announcement of broadcaster and television presenter Angellica Bell as this year’s Country Fair President. Angellica will officially open the event on Friday before meeting visitors and exhibitors and judging competitions.

Sarah Green, Event Organiser, said: “There’s a real sense of excitement at Chatsworth as we make the final preparations for this year’s Country Fair. We can’t wait to welcome visitors back for three days celebrating the very best of food, entertainment and the countryside.

“We’re particularly delighted that visitors joining us on Sunday will have the chance to see the Red Arrows flypast over the estate. It will be a special moment in a weekend already packed with Grand Ring entertainment, brilliant chefs, local food and drink, shopping and countryside activities for all ages.”

Adult tickets can be booked online in advance until 3 September, with a saving of up to £5 per ticket off the gate price. Tickets are also available on the day. Children aged 15 and under can attend free when accompanied by a paying adult. Eligible Chatsworth Friends and Patrons memberships include complimentary admission.
