Horsley Lodge Estate is excited to announce the opening of its brand-new restaurant, Farmhouse Kitchen, launching on 1st March 2025. Following a full refurbishment, the new restaurant brings warmth, character, and a true taste of home cooking to Derbyshire.

Located in the peaceful and picturesque village of Horsley, just 7 miles north of Derby’s bustling city centre, Horsley Lodge is already known for its stunning hotel, championship golf course, and welcoming hospitality. The addition of our Farmhouse Kitchen enhances the overall experience - offering guests and visitors a relaxed yet refined dining space that feels like a true home away from home.

The sympathetic transformation of the original 19th Century lodge includes three sets of brand-new bifold doors which flood the restaurant with natural light. Breathtaking views over the new terrace, the 9th hole of the golf course and the stunning countryside beyond give a sense of calm. With a rustic yet modern farmhouse feel, the newly redesigned restaurant features exposed brick walls, an open kitchen with a striking wood-fired pizza oven, and stylish new furniture. Guests can also enjoy a brand-new outdoor terrace, perfect for al fresco dining with beautiful countryside views. A refreshed team and upgraded systems ensure seamless service from start to finish.

The Farmhouse Kitchen menu celebrates high-quality, locally sourced ingredients with a mix of wood-fired pizzas, generous sharing platters, and comforting pub classics. A standout feature is the new Sunday Lunch sharing board for four, packed with all the trimmings and featuring premium meats from renowned local butcher, Owen Taylors. Guests can also indulge in the Steak Farmhouse Feast for four, a must-try for steak lovers. Families are well catered for with a dedicated children’s menu, and dogs are welcome in the bar area, making it a truly inclusive dining destination.

Adding to the experience, a brand-new cocktail menu features a mix of classic and signature drinks - all expertly crafted with premium spirits and fresh ingredients. Whether guests are looking to unwind with a refreshing spritz on the terrace or enjoy a crafted cocktail by the new open fire, there’s something for every occasion.

“We wanted to create a space that feels like home - warm, welcoming, and centred around great food and drink” said Rebecca Brough, Owner at Horsley Lodge. “With Farmhouse Kitchen, we’ve created a dining destination that not only serves our hotel guests but also welcomes the local community and visitors from further afield”

Farmhouse Kitchen officially opens on 1st March 2025 and is already taking bookings via the Horsley Lodge website and OpenTable. For more information or to book a table, visit www.horsleylodgeestate.co.uk/dining or call 01332 780 838.
