Renishaw Hall & Gardens
Renishaw, Derbyshire

Renishaw Hall and Gardens is a historic country estate in north-east Derbyshire and the home of the Sitwell family. The hall, built in the 17th century, can be explored on selected guided tours, which introduce visitors to its family history, art, portraits and heirlooms.

Outside, the Italianate gardens feature terraces, lawns, borders, statues and water features, with routes around the lake, woodland and vineyard. The changing planting and grounds provide plenty to explore across the seasons, while the Sitwell Museum offers additional background to the family and estate.

The courtyard café occupies part of the former stable buildings and can be visited separately from the gardens. It serves breakfast, light meals, more substantial lunchtime dishes, cakes and afternoon tea, with menus that change seasonally and options for different dietary requirements. A gift shop and visitor facilities are also located around the stable courtyard, making it a useful starting or finishing point.
