
Jordan is one of the Middle East’s most fascinating travel destinations, known for its extraordinary history, dramatic desert landscapes and welcoming culture. From the rose-red city of Petra carved into sandstone cliffs to the vast desert scenery of Wadi Rum and the unique experience of floating in the Dead Sea, Jordan offers travellers an incredible variety of sights and experiences.
During our visit we explored the lively capital city of Amman, wandered through the remarkably preserved Roman ruins of Jerash, stood in awe before the ancient city of Petra, travelled deep into the desert landscapes of Wadi Rum and relaxed in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea.

From the quieter charms of Little Petra to the breathtaking grandeur of Petra itself, this stage of the journey was steeped in history and wonder. Bedouin hospitality, traditional food and star-filled desert nights made it an unforgettable experience.

Wadi Rum – Desert Adventures Under the Stars
Our stay at Rum Magic Nights camp in the Wadi Rum desert was exactly that – magical. Camel rides at sunset, jeep adventures through towering rock formations and traditional underground Zarb feasts created a truly memorable desert experience.

The Dead Sea – Floating, Mud Baths and Relaxation
The final stop of our journey was the Dead Sea, a place I had dreamed of visiting since childhood. Floating effortlessly in its mineral-rich waters and covering ourselves in black Dead Sea mud was the perfect relaxing end to our Jordan adventure.

Jordanian cuisine is known for its generous hospitality, aromatic spices and traditional dishes designed for sharing. During our travels most of our meals were enjoyed at our hotels and desert camps, where we experienced a range of local dishes and Bedouin-style cooking.
Beit Khairat Souf 1881 – A wonderfully authentic dining experience in northern Jordan, set in a beautifully restored historic building. Traditional Jordanian dishes are served in a warm and welcoming setting, offering a real taste of local hospitality.
