Derby Brewing Company owned Kedleston Country House Hotel has been awarded the accolade of an AA Rosette for the second year running.

The decision to award an AA rosette is made on the basis of a meal visit or visits by one or more AA hotel and restaurant inspectors, who have an unrivalled breadth and depth of experience in assessing quality. Of all the restaurants across the UK, approximately 10% are of a standard which is worthy of 1 Rosette and above, so receiving one is a notable achievement.

The Kedleston Country House restaurant is currently run under head chef Dan Laycock who worked in England and France under Michelin star chefs before joining the Derby Brewing team. His menu changes monthly to reflect the seasons and uses fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables from the Kedleston kitchen garden as well as meat and produce from local suppliers.

Director of Derby Brewing Company Paul Harris says, “We are thrilled to have been awarded the AA Rosette for the second year running. Our team have worked really hard to maintain an excellent food offer which is consistent for both the restaurant and wedding service. Dan works closely with our gardener to cultivate fruit, vegetables and herbs in our kitchen garden so that we can minimise our food miles while maximising flavour and freshness in our dishes.”

The Kedleston Country House is a stunning boutique hotel, restaurant and event venue set within the rolling hills of the Kedleston estate, on the edge of the Peak District and just a few minutes’ drive of Derby city centre. After being derelict for several years Derby Brewing Company invested in a multi million pound renovation, opening as the beautiful venue it is today in 2015.

The restaurant  is open Wednesday - Sunday and serves champagne breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner as well as catering for private events throughout the week. The Kedleston is also a well established wedding venue, offering boutique country charm.

The Kedleston is hosting a wide range of festive activities this Christmas season, with bookings now being taken for festive dining, private parties, Sunday lunches (with Santa on December 16th), Christmas Day four course meal and a Pride & Prejudice New Year’s Eve party. All details can be found at www.thekedleston.co.uk or degustabox.com and bookings can be made by calling 01332 477222.
