Chesterfield based events organisers Edge Events have announced that they will host Chesterfield’s first Food and Drink Festival this summer.

This brand new festival for Chesterfield will take place at Queen’s Park on the 29th and 30th July, starting at 11am and concluding at 7pm both days.

The event is free entry to all and visitors can expect to find over 30 local food producers as well as entertainment, chef demonstrations, live music, childrens activities, dance demonstrations and much more.

For foodies, the event will boast a plethora of food suppliers from across the Derbyshire region. This includes meat, vegatarian and vegan options as it intends to cater for all types of pallets.

The festival will also be family friendly with an area dedicated to the little ones which will consist of face painting, henna tattoos, bouncy castle, donkey rides, train rides and an animal petting corner.

Laura Ashby, Co-organiser and Creator of Edge Events, states:-

“There will be a huge range of food to choose from, including flavours from around the world and locally sourced ingredients.

“For attendees who enjoy a tipple in the sunshine, the festival will offer theme based bars specialising in real ale, gin and prosecco.

“It’s definitely time Chesterfield had such an event in their calendar and if people support the celebration, there is no reason it can’t keep growing and be around for years to come.”

Edge Events have strategically put together a structural concept that is aimed at being inclusive for everybody.

Richard Alsop, Co-organiser, states:-

“We are organising this festival to enable local food suppliers to come together, celebrate and showcase their unique and tasty products.

“With so much going on we really do feel that there will be something for
everybody.”

The organisers have chosen Ashgate Hospice as their chosen charity who will be fundraising over the weekend.

The organisers are inviting food and drink businesses to book a stand at the event.  Interested traders can register at https://www.edgeevents.co/food-and-drink-festival-2017
