If you love great food, served in fantastic surroundings, using locally sourced produce then we know somewhere that will tick all your wish list boxes.
Located in the beautiful, historic town of Matlock is the mouth-wateringly named Herd Steakhouse. Once home to a bank, the interior has now been transformed into a stylish restaurant and a basement bar that was formally the original bank vault.
Whether you just fancy nibbles and a cocktail, bubbles and a sharing platter, or a sophisticated bottle of wine and a three course meal the Herd team have something for everyone. They source all their produce from within a thirty mile radius of the town and believe that the beauty of the area translates into the flavour of the meat they use.
We recommend booking ahead to reserve your table; just call on 01629 581171. For all Herds latest news and updates follow their Facebook page. Pop along and experience Herd Steakhouses unique style for yourselves, they reckon you won’t be disappointed.
Herd Steakhouse opened on Friday 24th March and the feedback on social media has been really positive with quotes like
“Friendly, attentive staff who dealt brilliantly with our party”
“Loved every bit of it. The food was perfect.”
“Tried Herd out for the first time this week, it was amazing!”
Here at Sticky Beak we hope to be able to pay them a visit soon and as always when we do, we’ll let you know how we get on.
