Due to popular demand, Ye Olde Bell Hotel, one of Nottinghamshire's most iconic hotels, is relaunching its Sunday lunch menu this week, bringing back a beloved three-course experience designed to make the most of a Sunday afternoon.
As Sunday lunches across the country have shifted towards more informal offerings, Ye Olde Bell is making a deliberate return to a timeless lunch format that its guests know and love, with a brand new menu to match.
The three-course lunch, available now, is priced at £39 per person, with children under 12 dining at half price and under-fives complimentary. Served from 12pm to 3pm, it's the perfect excuse to gather friends and family around the table in the beautiful surroundings of Ye Olde Bell.
Starters range from a classic prawn and crayfish cocktail and ham hock terrine with spiced tomato chutney to wild mushroom arancini and a soup of the day. Mains centre around a selection of Sunday roasts, sirloin of local beef, roast pork loin, fish of the day and roast turkey, all served with duck fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, roasted root vegetables, greens and gravy, with optional extras including cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets and creamed leeks at £5 each. To finish, a mouth-watering dessert trolley offers a rotating selection of desserts, cheeses and a hot dessert of the day.
Kate Firth, Managing Director of Ye Olde Bell, said:
"There's something really special about a proper Sunday lunch, and we felt strongly that our guests deserved exactly that. Sunday lunch should be an occasion, a chance to slow down, enjoy great food and really make the most of the day. Bringing back our three-course menu felt like the right thing to do, and we've put a lot of love into this new menu. We can't wait to welcome everyone back to the table."
The Sunday lunch is served every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm. Reservations are recommended.
