Stars, VIPs and Derby’s glitterati descended on Pride Park on Saturday, as Nicco Restaurant & Bar launched its first ever After Hours event.

The award-winning restaurant and bar, renowned for its contemporary Indian cuisine, rolled out the black carpet for the VIP launch and the atmosphere was electric.

Guests included podcasters, influencers, Miss Derbyshire and DIY SOS favourite Ian Hodgkinson.

As the cameras flashed capturing in pictures the guest list that read like a who’s who, the venue’s exclusive launch party roared into life.

A live saxophonist, drummers, and dancers made this high-energy event zing, with a DJ hitting the decks while the prosecco flowed and canapes inspired by the Indian fusion cuisine for which the restaurant had become renowned were circulated throughout the room.

Guests were served Avocado bhel, Samosa tartlets, Chilli Chicken and Chilli Paneer and handed an array of sparklers which really lit up the dancefloor.

Nicco Restaurant & Bar co owner, Bhav Kumar, said: “This has been the hottest ticket in town. The energy, the glamour, the sheer star power in the room tonight has blown us away. We’re thrilled by the celebrity turnout and the phenomenal wave of bookings already pouring in for our weekly After Hours Saturdays.

“We set out to create a high octane, must visit Saturday night spectacular, something bold, stylish and unmissable, and we have achieved that, the reaction has been nothing short of amazing. It’s clear Derby has been waiting for a night like this, and we’re only just getting started.”

Following the launch, After Hours Saturday night events will become a weekly feature of the restaurant's events listing. It is set to become a go-to night for discerning diners and event goers.

Booking is advisable with the 7pm until late venue offering great food, bar, DJ and 2-4-1 offer on cocktails from 10pm.

The successful Indian restaurant on Wheelwright Way is just a few minutes’ walk from Pride Park Stadium, which has contributed to its popularity as both an evening and daytime venue.

Located in Pride Park, Nicco Restaurant and Bar serve a modern Indian-fusion menu and vibrant cocktails in a contemporary setting. Since opening in 2021, it has become one of Derby’s most popular spots for celebrations, date nights and group dining.
