Two of Derbyshire’s leading four-star hotels - Casa Hotel in Chesterfield and Peak Edge Hotel in the Peak District - are raising the bar for mindful drinking with the launch of two premium alcohol-free drinks in a format that is brand new to the region.
From this month, guests can enjoy Run Wild IPA by Athletic Brewing Co. on draught - a multi-award-winning alcohol-free craft beer served for the first time ever on tap in Derbyshire - alongside Bolle Sparkling Rosé and Bolle Blanc de Blancs, two exceptional alcohol-free sparkling wines distributed in the north by Chesterfield based Mismo Drinks.
Casa and Peak Edge are the first venues in the county to stock these products on a permanent basis and the first premium hotel chain to offer Run Wild IPA on draught in the country.
“We call Mismo Drinks a 20-year-old start-up business, as it has been founded by two passionate wine experts and enthusiasts, Brian Kirkland and myself, with decades of experience between us,” said co-founder, Richard Embrey. “We are thrilled and honoured to have these two exceptional hotels as partners and our first customer to Mismo Drinks, it is truly a seminal moment for our company.”
Casa and Peak Edge are the only venues in the county to offer these drinks.
As the UK’s no- and low-alcohol market continues to grow - with draught sales of alcohol-free beer up over 77% since pre-COVID - Casa Hotel and Peak Edge Hotel are proud to offer guests premium, grown-up alternatives that don’t compromise on taste, quality, or experience.
“We’re seeing a real shift in the way people approach drinking,” says Steve Perez, owner of both hotels. “Whether it’s for health, lifestyle or just personal choice, more people want high-quality alcohol-free options - and we’re keen to ensure those options are as exciting and flavourful as anything else on the menu.”
The new drinks are available across the hotels’ award-winning dining spaces: the 2 AA Rosette Cocina Restaurant and Barca Bar at Casa Hotel, and the 2 AA Rosette rustic-luxe Red Lion Restaurant at Peak Edge.
Each venue champions local and seasonal produce, with many ingredients - including beef, lamb, pork, honey and eggs - coming directly from the hotels’ own Walton Lodge Farm, located just a few miles from both properties.
Barca Bar offers a relaxed yet stylish setting for cocktails, wine and casual bites, with a spacious terrace ideal for al fresco drinks. It’s a favourite for after-work gatherings, casual meet-ups, and guests enjoying a weekend stay. Now, it also offers the best alcohol-free draught and sparkling options in the region.
“We’ve built our reputation on quality - from the meat we serve to the drinks we pour,” adds Mark Thurman, Managing Director of Casa and Peak Edge. “Run Wild and Bolle are world-class products. We’re proud to be the first in Derbyshire to offer them, and we think our guests - whether they’re here for a business lunch, a wedding, or a relaxing evening - will really appreciate having exciting alcohol-free options that still feel like a treat.”
Now Pouring at Casa and Peak Edge:
• Athletic Brewing Co. Run Wild IPA (0.5% ABV)
A refreshing, full-flavoured craft IPA that is globally recognised for its balance, body and finish. Perfect for the designated driver or the midweek business traveller - and now available on draught exclusively at Casa and Peak Edge.
• Bolle Sparkling Rosé and Blanc de Blancs (0.5% ABV)
Light, elegant and just 15 calories per glass, these vegan-friendly sparkling wines offer a stylish alternative to prosecco or champagne. Casa and Peak Edge are the first in the North to stock Bolle, via exclusive Chesterfield based distributor Mismo Drinks.
The new additions are available throughout Casa Hotel and Peak Edge’s restaurants, bars, room service, and event spaces - including weddings and corporate functions - offering guests a new way to celebrate, connect, and unwind.
