Mother and daughter restaurateurs Sarah and Olivia Pritchard are launching a brand new catering and events company in Derby after the recent sale of their three prominent Derby city centre food outlets; Hide, Rask and Bean Caffe.
The new catering business, Gather & Grace, will offer an exciting approach to corporate catering and event planning, as well as featuring an exclusive event destination at its new premises, 7 Friar Gate.
Sarah, who seized the opportunity to set up the their first business Bean Caffe in 2009 after being made redundant, said: “We want to bring a change to Derby's catering scene with fresh menus that will excite the corporate world and some interesting twists on your everyday sandwich!”
Launching early July this year, Gather & Grace will offer catering for corporate events as well as weddings and private functions.
As part of the new services on offer there is also the addition of the ‘Gathering Space’; a light, warm and welcoming private dining room that can be hired out for meetings, networking events or private dinner parties. There will be a wide range of menus to suit all party styles from canapés to four course dinners and can seat up to 38 with standing room for 60.
The move into full-time catering is a marked step-change for the award-winning business duo who won the prestigious lifetime achievement award at Derby’s annual Food & Drink Awards in 2018 and benefit from 40 years of catering experience between them.
Liv, who will still be involved in the popular street food business Bustler Market, said:
“None of this would’ve been possible without the incredible team we've had by our side for the whole journey. We would like to thank them all.”
Sarah added:
“We also owe our thanks to all of our customers, who have supported us right from the start and have been a huge part of our journey. Without their custom, support and loyalty we would not have been able to grow and carry on doing what we love...feeding great food to the people of our hometown!”
