I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve waxed lyrical about the splendid county that is our beloved Derbyshire and the magnificence of the food and drink movement within it. At last, it has gained national recognition courtesy of a marvellous supplement in The Times Newspapers’ Saturday edition, dated the 22nd July 2017.
Our very own Marketing Derby team have to take the credit for this inspirational section of The Times; thank you, you have done us “Derbians” proud. Alongside the county’s industrial achievements, the triumphs of our dynamic gastro scene are celebrated and detailed for all to see.
Yours truly got a mention for the pieces that the Sticky Beak Blog has done, particularly mentioning Sadler Gates very own Blacksmiths’ Loft. I was thrilled to be described as “Derby’s most prolific restaurant reviewer” in Esther Palmers article; although this perhaps highlights my gluttony too!
The up-and-coming Bustler Street Food Market also got a well deserved mention; long may it continue to flourish.
I love doing the blog, absolutely love it, but it couldn’t exist without the talented Chefs, their kitchen teams, and the restaurateurs that we have within this extra-ordinary county. So congratulations to everyone, let’s keep our county’s flag flying high for all to see :)
