Fat Buns is an independent bakery in the heart of Hartington, specialising in handcrafted sweet bakes, quality coffee and weekend focaccia sandwiches.Opened in 2026 by baker Jordan Allcock, the family-run business has quickly become a popular stop for both locals and visitors exploring the Peak District.

Throughout the week, the counter features a changing selection of cinnamon buns, cookies, tarts and other freshly baked treats, while weekends also see a range of freshly made focaccia sandwiches added to the menu. Alongside the food is a choice of coffees, teas, hot chocolate, cold drinks and seasonal specials.

A small seating area inside provides space to enjoy a drink and something sweet, with additional outdoor seating available in the warmer months. Located just a short walk from Hartington's village square, Fat Buns offers a relaxed setting for breakfast, a coffee break or an afternoon treat while visiting one of the Peak District's most picturesque villages.
