A bold new Vietnamese street food concept has officially opened in the heart of Nottingham.

Ăn Đê, located at 6 Chapel Bar, NG1 6JQ, launched on 14 February 2026 with a packed grand opening weekend, welcoming hundreds of guests and selling out its first 100 promotional bowls within hours.

Founded by Hieu Nguyen, Ăn Đê was created to bring the real spirit of Hanoi’s late-night street markets to Nottingham — vibrant, high-energy and unapologetically authentic.

“Ăn Đê means ‘eat this’ in Vietnamese,” says founder Hieu Nguyen. “It’s confident, direct and personal — just like the food we serve. We don’t water down flavours or adjust recipes to play it safe. We cook the food the way it’s meant to taste.”

The restaurant specialises in traditional Vietnamese dishes including Phở and Bún Bò Huế, alongside a focused menu of bold small plates. Rather than offering an extensive list of dishes, Ăn Đê centres on quality, flavour and atmosphere — a dining experience designed to feel immersive and alive.

The interior reflects this vision, combining red lantern lighting, neon accents and a warm, intimate setting inspired by the organised chaos of Hanoi’s night markets.

Since opening, the restaurant has already drawn strong local support, adding to Nottingham’s growing independent food scene and offering a distinctive alternative to conventional dining concepts.

Opening Hours:
Tuesday – Thursday: 12:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday – Saturday: 12:00pm – 11:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm – 10:00pm
