Denby Pottery Village is holding its annual Christmas Market over two weekends – find inspiration for Christmas gifts for loved ones, enjoy delicious artisan food and drink and enjoy a great day out – it’s all here under-cover with free parking.

There’s a vast array of unique Christmas gift ideas for all the family created by local independent craftspeople, including jewellery, Christmas decorations, soft furnishings, creative artwork, woodwork pieces, as well as local gin, cheese, curries, cakes, soaps, candles, chutneys, jams plus much more.

In the Courtyard, there’s a selection of eatery options from hot meals in Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro or hot drinks and snacks in the Denby Farm Shop and Greedy Pig Butchers have their popular hog roast. The Denby Farm Shop has quality food and drink gift ideas from many local suppliers along with selected wines from Laithwaites.

Here you will also find The Denby Gift Shop which is stocked with a plethora of Christmas gifts arriving daily which include quality puzzles and games with endearing bears and characters by quality toy makers including the popular Jellycat.

Available in the Denby Store are the much-anticipated yearly collectors’ handcrafted Christmas decorations (available while stocks last) hand-decorated vases, home fragrance or James Martin entertaining sets. These all make great gifts but don’t forget those extra plates for Christmas entertaining even the family pet can have their own handcrafted Denby pet bowl too! Browse in one of Derbyshire’s most extensive Cookshops for all your quality cookware, bakeware and kitchen accessories from tablemats, roasting tins to ironing boards. For those who wish to leave open their gift selection to their recipients, Denby has gift vouchers for shopping or craft and afternoon tea experiences.

With just a short walk back to the car, Denby’s Garden Stall has various size Christmas trees and hand-made wreaths.

A visit to the Christmas Market on both weekends is highly recommended as there are many different stall holders at each weekend market. There will be tastings in the Farm Shop with Popcorn Kitchen on the 4th, and Celtic Marches Cider on the 5th plus product demonstrations on the 6th, 12th and 13th in the Denby Store. On the morning of Saturday 13th December the Amber Valley Choir will be delighting Christmas shoppers with festive songs.

If you prefer to create your own Christmas gifts, the Denby Craft Studio has craft workshops taking place for adults and children up until Christmas. Once your pieces are complete, they’ll be carefully kiln-fired ready for you to collect at a later date. Please note any ceramic crafts undertaken after 9th November will not be ready in time for Christmas.
