Rupert Rowley along with five fellow chefs will prepare and serve a fantastic 5-course dinner at Fischer’s, Baslow Hall on Monday 19th September using produce sourced from artisan food producers in Northern Ireland.
Mark Poynton from Michelin starred restaurant Alimentum will join Rupert in the kitchen along with Adam Smith from the Dorchester group’s – Coworth Park, Ascot. Andrew Nutter from Nutters and Steven Smith from the Freemasons, Wiswell ( No 1 pub in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2016) from Lancashire along with Eddie Attwell from Northern Ireland will complete the line up.
The menu will feature Peter Hannan’s Glenarm organic beef (available exclusively at Fortnum and Mason) which is dry aged in a unique Himalayan salt chamber. Allison Abernethy will tell the story of her delicious butter which will be served with traditional wheaten bread accompanying the meal. Abernethy butter has just begun supplying Harrods this week and is proud to include a list of Michelin starred chefs including Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck in Bray to its customer list.
Both products have just been awarded 3 Gold stars in the Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste Awards 2016 and appeared in the Telegraph in the list of “Top 50 food in Britain” last month. Glenarm organic salmon, Lough Neagh Eel and Broighter Gold Rapeseed (containing real gold leaf) will be other award winning ingredients on the menu.
Drinks from the emerald isle will also feature during the evening with the first ever dry cut gin from Belfast – Jawbox created by Gerry White who will also speak during dinner.
