Escape the freezing winds, dark nights and January blues and find sunshine for the soul at Turtle Bay this new year. The Caribbean restaurant and bar are serving up a vibrant and varied vegan menu like no other – perfect for those going plant-based for Veganuary. Their vegan menu which features 28 beautiful vegan dishes is available nationwide.

With the restaurant’s island vibes, beach-shack-inspired décor, reggae beats and warming soul food, Turtle Bay is the perfect sunshine retreat from the long, cold January ahead. A place to fend off the post-Christmas blues and tackle 2020 head on by staying social and sharing good food with friends… it’s a little slice of the island life where looking after yourself doesn’t have to mean breaking a new year’s resolution.

Turtle Bay’s vegan collection is an ambitious, diverse and extensive menu covering all day dining from brunch through to dinner with super sides and an incredible 30 strong collection of vegan-friendly cocktails too. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic vegan cocktails are part of Turtle Bay’s fabulous happy hour  - available as 2 for 1 from 12-7pm and then again after 10pm (and after 9:30pm Sunday – Thursdays)

Kick off a Veganuary day the Turtle Bay way with a plant-based, Caribbean take on the Full English (The Big Vegan Grill Down), or a bowl of coconut porridge with pomegranate (Blackwell’s Breakfast – named after the favourite breakfast of Island Records’ Chris Blackwell).

For big hearty bowls of meat and dairy free soul food there’s Jerk Tofu, Curry Aubergine and Coconut Rundown. Or for the most indulgent of vegan treats guests can opt for a plant based burger… The Vegan Mother Clucker is Turtle Bay’s decadent twist on a vegan ‘chicken’ burger. A seitan patty is cooked in Jamaican spices and served with smashed avocado, wild rocket, pink onions and jerk mayo. The Kernal Vegan Burger is a double decker tower of sweetcorn patties created using vibrant flavours and spices, roasted red peppers and sweet onion chutney.

Or for lighter plant-based options guests can go for the Island Buddha Bowl, Festival Salad or Chilli Smashed Avocado – all can be topped with your choice of jerk vegetables or organic jerk tofu (whatever January diet you might be on – these dishes will serve you well!).

Then there’s an abundance of magnificent vegan small plates made for
endless possibilities - these ‘beach tapas’ dishes can be added to compliment any dish on the menu or to make up your own perfect, plant-based grazing experience. From Trini Doubles and Sweetcorn Fritters to Fried Plantain, Coconut Rice and Peas, Curried Chick Peas and Avocado Fries – this is laid back, ‘no rules’ dining at its best, and it’s all vegan.

When it comes to puds expect the dreamiest dessert in town – that just happen to be vegan… choose from Chilli Chocolate Brownie or Rum & Coconut Poached Pineapple.

Guests can keep the party going all Veganuary long too with Turtle Bay’s famous cocktail list now ALL vegan and all 241 during Happy Hour.

Turtle Bay’s vegan menu is available throughout the year for those of the opinion that veganism’s for life not just for Veganuary!

If plant-based isn’t your focus this new year then step into Turtle Bay’s Caribbean oasis and tackle anything from a depleted bank account to dry January.

A hearty lunch can be yours for a tenner with the Turtle Bay lunch offer which includes a burger or roti plus a side and soft drink and runs 12-3pm Monday – Wednesday, whilst the set menu includes two courses for £12 and three for £15 available all day and night from Sunday – Thursday.

If it’s time to detox via dry January or just cutting back, Turtle Bay have now introduced 241 happy hour on their famous mocktails – meaning the party doesn’t have to stop even if the boozing does!

Whatever your priorities this new year, the best way to style out the January blues is with friends, great food, music and a healthy dose of sunshine for the soul at Turtle Bay.
