Ripley Mayor raises £1500 through charity events at Seafish Restaurant
Councillor Emmas Williams held three charity evenings at the local fish and chip restaurant to help raise money for the Ripley Hospital League of Friends.
The first event saw the Mayor serving customers on the take away and all the takings from the night were donated. The second saw Councillor Emma Williams frying up a storm behind the range. And the third was a charity dinner to mark the end of his term as Mayor.
Restaurant owner, Panny Apostolou, has said: “We are delighted to have been able to help raise so much money and for such a good cause. We are always more than willing to support the local charities in and around Ripley.”
The money raised will help the League of Friends to continue to their extraordinary work in supporting the local hospital.
SeaFish Restaurant continues to support the charity by displaying donation boxes throughout their restaurant and takeaway.
