CELEBRITY chefs Brian Turner CBE and Dean Edwards were the star attractions at the inaugural North Nottinghamshire Food Festival in Worksop on Thursday (July 25).

Festival-goers were treated to cookery exhibitions from the stars, as well as entertainment from comedy chefs Liver Cottage.

Alongside the entertainment, children in attendance were invited to take part in ‘Go Bake’ bread making activities as well as ice cream demonstrations from The School of Artisan Food.

The event welcomed more than 7,000 attendees, with more than 3,000 taking in the action in the main event area.

Sally Gillborn, chief executive of North Notts BID said: “We are absolutely delighted with how the event went. To have so many people down to take in what the festival had to offer on what was the hottest day of the year is testament to the amazing show put on by the chefs and entertainers.

“North Nottinghamshire has so much to offer over the summer months and as the North Notts BID team, we’re excited to see what the rest of the summer has to offer.”
