So, a sublime evening was had by myself and The Man Bird last night at the launch of Steve Perez's (aka Mr Casa) culinary book, Mi Casa. But we’re greedy Chez Beak and wanted the moment to last longer, so we decided to have Soft Boiled dippy eggs (from Steve’s Walton Lodge farm) for breakfast as a family this morning.
Glorious sunshine provided the backdrop for us as we tucked in to the tasty delights in our conservatory. The egg yolks were as bright as the sun itself, and richly creamy in taste. Sometimes it’s the simple pleasures enjoyed as a family that remind you how good life really is.
As far as I’m concerned, the weekend has now started - I’m in such a great mood :)
