Privately-owned Italian restaurant group, Pesto, has announced it is to open in Derbyshire.
The independent company, which currently operates nine restaurants in the North West and Midlands, has acquired The Peacock in Oakerthorpe.
The new restaurant, Pesto at the Peacock, will open this summer following an extensive £350k refurbishment programme and see 60 new job opportunities created.
Applications for the roles, which include a mix of full and part time kitchen and front and back of house positions, are now open.
Speaking on the announcement, Pesto co-owner Sara Edwards said: “The Peacock is an incredible site; we’re really excited by its potential and to be opening our first restaurant in Derbyshire.
“Renovation work is well underway and we’re looking forward to opening the doors to Pesto at the Peacock this summer.”
General Manager at Pesto at the Peacock, Russell Bennett, adds: “We are focused on building a team that can offer customers an excellent standard of service. We look forward to hearing from anyone with experience who is interested in joining an energetic and close-knit team.”
